Oscar’s 2025 Best & Worst Looks
Best & worst looks of the Oscars
The Oscars have finished and these are my breakdowns from the night, who nailed it and who missed the mark?
A roundup of my absolute favourite looks here starting with:
Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton - the ultimate villain dress but oh so chic and fabulous.
Elle Fanning in Givenchy - I adore this look, its classic, its elegant, its a total win for me.
Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton - super simple but she slays.
Lisa in Markgong - love love love.
Bruna Marquezine in custom Atelier Versace - the cut of this dressing is giving even more body, she looks incredible.
Halle Berry in Christian Siriano - Halle is just over here defying age, this dress is unreal on her.
Lupita Nyong’o in Chanel - simple, chic, the white on her looks another level.
Selena Gomez in Ralph Lauren - this is just ultimate glamour, the neckline, the cut, she left no crumbs in this look.
The ones below just missed the mark for me, for various reasons, some are just a little too much dress, some look a bit other realmy but not in a good way, what do you think?
Lily-Rose Depp in Chanel - the awkward ruffles, I don’t really have anything positive to say about this dress, its a flop.
Whoopi Goldberg in Christian Siriano - you in danger girl, of being smothered by this dress.
Penélope Cruz in Chanel - everyone who owns eyes can see Penélope is a stunning woman, this dress is doing nothing for her.
Alba Rohrwacher in Valentino Haute Couture - when you have to attend a red carpet event at 6 and be back on the set of Les Mis at 8.
Ana de Armas in Louis Vuitton - beautiful woman, boring dress, I feel like I’ve seen this a thousand times, her body is unreal but it looks like something she could have picked up anywhere.
Clarence Maclin and Divine G - too gimicky.
Joe Locke in Celine - this Bridgerton/ wedding / magician mash up was not it.
Storm Reid in Alexandre Vauthier - an underwhelming mini dress hidden under an overwhelming cape.

Men’s Fashion: The European Aesthetic…
Guide to dressing in the European Aesthetic
I don’t know about you, but when I see a man in a polished look I do a double take. The allure of European style lies in its timeless elegance, effortless sophistication, and attention to detail. From the polished looks of Italian tailoring to the laid-back Parisian charm, mastering the chic European aesthetic is about embracing classic pieces, impeccable fit, and a touch of individual flair. We'll explore the essential elements and style tips to achieve that coveted European charm in your wardrobe.
Embrace Tailored Silhouettes:
European men's fashion is synonymous with well-tailored garments that enhance the natural lines of the body. Invest in classic blazers, tailored trousers, and suits that fit impeccably. Tailoring can elevate even simple outfits, creating a refined and polished appearance.
Stick to a Neutral Color Palette:
European style often revolves around a sophisticated color palette of neutrals and muted tones. Opt for shades like navy, gray, camel, beige, and white, as they effortlessly exude understated elegance and are easy to mix and match.
Invest in Quality Fabrics:
Quality fabrics are a hallmark of European fashion. Invest in garments made from luxurious materials like fine wool, cashmere, silk, and linen. These fabrics not only look refined but also age gracefully, adding to the timelessness of your wardrobe.
Pay Attention to Grooming:
The European aesthetic extends beyond clothing and includes well-groomed personal presentation. Pay attention to grooming habits, including a well-kept hairstyle, trimmed facial hair, and well-maintained nails. A polished appearance elevates your overall look.
Incorporate Scarves and Accessories:
Scarves, pocket squares, and carefully selected accessories add a touch of European flair to any outfit. Don a lightweight scarf with a blazer or use a pocket square to add a pop of colour and elegance to a suit.
Layer with Style:
Layering is a key element of European fashion, especially during transitional seasons. Master the art of layering with tailored overcoats, cardigans, and waistcoats to create stylish and versatile looks.
Opt for Timeless Footwear:
European men are known for their impeccable taste in footwear. Invest in high-quality leather shoes such as brogues, loafers (suede), and oxfords, as they effortlessly complement both formal and casual outfits.
Incorporate European Brands:
Explore European fashion brands to discover authentic pieces that embody the regional style. Look for brands with a rich heritage in tailoring, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.
Add a Statement Accessory:
European fashion often includes a well-chosen statement accessory that adds personality to an outfit. Whether it's a stylish watch, a leather bracelet, or a unique tie, select one standout piece to elevate your look.
Exude Confidence:
The most essential element of achieving the chic European aesthetic is confidence. Embrace your personal style with conviction and wear your outfits with poise. Confidence is the key to making any ensemble shine.
The chic European aesthetic in men's fashion is a timeless and elegant style that exudes effortless sophistication. By embracing tailored silhouettes, a neutral color palette, quality fabrics, and carefully selected accessories, you can create a wardrobe that reflects the charm of European fashion. Remember, it's not about replicating a specific look but rather embracing the essence of European elegance while infusing your unique personality into your outfits. With these style tips, you'll be well on your way to mastering the art of European fashion and achieving a refined and polished aesthetic.

The 2025 fashion trends that I am on board with…
The trends I’m loving…
We are in April and several fashion trends have emerged, some are well, meh and others I’m kind of loving if I’m honest, here is a run down of my favourites that won’t age badly.
Powder Pink Dominance: This soft hue has become a staple in wardrobes, offering a fresh and versatile colour choice for various garments. I love pink in all shades, it’s one of those colours that makes me feel totally in my feminine and whenever I see it on other people it always makes me smile.
Turn-Up Jeans: Denim with turned-up cuffs is gaining popularity, adding a casual yet stylish flair to everyday outfits. I mean this has to be music to my short kings and queens ears, gone are the moments of having to get you jeans professionally altered, the turn up has your back.
Peep-Toe Shoes: Footwear featuring peep-toe designs is having a resurgence, offering a chic option and ladies how many of us spend a small fortune on keeping our toes painted, why wouldn’t we want to show that off!
Sheer Blouses: Once reserved for runways, sheer blouses are now embraced in daily wear, they’re elegant, a bit daring and you can always pop a sexy lace cami on underneath if it’s just a little too scary for you. Personally I love a lace bra under a sheer blouse, it just adds that extra special touch. But keep the bottom of the outfit chic, a midi length skirt or a tailored pair of trousers, we don’t want the elegant to fall flat and be replaced by trashy.
Bohemian Glamour: Designers are revisiting '70s-inspired bohemian styles, incorporating flowing fabrics and intricate patterns into modern wardrobes. Who doesn’t love a long boho style dress in summer?
These trends reflect a blend of nostalgic revivals and fresh innovations, offering diverse options to explore in 2025.
